La semana pasada estuve en Albarracín, en los talleres que organizan Isidro Ferrer y Carlos Grassa. Tuve la suerte de que me tocara con el ilustrador y autor francés Paul Cox. Hicimos un ejercicio de sobreimpresión, a cuatro tintas, que progresivamente contara una pequeña historia sobre el éxito y el fracaso. El tema de este año. Gracias Paul. ¡Qué taller!

Last week I was in Albarracin, a small village near Teruel. Each year, Isidro Ferrer and Carlos Grassa organize four days of workshops and lectures. I was lucky enough to be in Paul Cox's group. We worked with overprinting. Four images that overlapped told a story about sucess and failure, this year's subject. Thank you Paul. What a workshop!

La semana pasada estuve haciendo unas serigrafías con una ilustración en la que había estado trabajando. Reduje la imagen a dos tintas y usé acramina, para aprovechar la transparencia de la tinta. El resultado me gustó y el registro me quedó bien, como cosa rara. Normalmente era un desastre. ¡Que viva la sobreimpresión!

Last week I screen printed an illustration I had been working in. Reduced the image to two inks and worked with a transparent water based ink. Registry came out well (finally...!) and loved the overprinting effect. Got to print some more!
